In a night that will forever be etched in the memories of Clearwater, the Masquerade Gala at Clearwater Ski Hill proved to be an extraordinary triumph, radiating a sense of high-end entertainment and intrigue rarely witnessed in our picturesque small town. Drawing attendees from neighboring communities and cities, this enchanting evening unfolded as a celebration of sophistication and allure. Immersing ourselves in a world of glamour, attendees adorned themselves in opulent ball gowns, dripping in jewels, while masks added an air of mystery to the festivities. As we approached the transformed ski hill, a mesmerizing scene unfolded – the entrance lined with trees adorned in shimmering lights, a fog machine casting an air of mystique. A valet service awaited, sparing us the trek through mud and ice in our finery. Stepping through the doors, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of refined decadence. The ski hill, now unrecognizable, had undergone a stunning transformation. Ceilings draped with elegance, flameless candles suspended from every conceivable space, and every inch of the venue bathed in ambiance. The night began with a red-carpet experience, a professional photoshoot capturing the glamour of the attendees. With glasses of champagne in hand, we were ushered to personalized place settings, our excitement mirrored by the sight of the ski hill in its full glory. A DJ’s curated playlist beckoned guests to the dance floor, while bartenders crafted signature drinks, including the mesmerizing duo Fire and Ice, each one a spectacle in itself.

Delightful hors d’oeuvres circulated on trays, served by a gracious staff, creating an atmosphere where mingling seamlessly blended with taking in the splendor. Ascending a candle-lit staircase led to an upstairs space transformed into a casino of mystery, with each winning hand earning an entry to the grand prize basket awaiting the night’s draw. As the clock approached midnight, attendees gathered outside for a breathtaking display of fireworks and a lantern release, adding a touch of magic to an already enchanting night. As weariness set in, a shuttle stood ready to safely transport everyone home, concluding a truly magical evening. Dare we declare that this may mark the inception of an annual themed New Year’s bash, held in the heart of Clearwater, BC, within the unparalleled venue of Clearwater Ski Hill?
